In this review, Scott takes a look at the new Tanix TX9 Amlogic S912 Android TV box. The TX9 box come’s with a great design and solid build construction. The TX9 looks good enough on paper to make most TV box’s look pretty boring.

The Tanix TX9 is equipped with the latest Amlogic S912 which is a pretty powerful ARM processor and is also packing the powerful Mali-T820MP3 integrated graphics processor. The S912 chip set is one fine piece of kit, but as with all processors its only as capable as the android firmware that it comes built with.

This Tanix TX9 TV box comes equipped with 3GB of DDR3 ram as well as 16GB of storage, dual band WiFi and is running the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system.

When we first turn on the TX9, the launcher is certainly different and quite impressive from a Chinese branded TV box. Everything about this device screams quality, from the box’s design and build quality right through to the impressive, well designed launcher.

What is certainly different about this box is that is also includes the android task bar that is missing from a lot of new Nougat TV box’s, we no a lot of people are wondering about this.

The Tanix TX9 is a good box, but is let down drastically. Find out why in the full video below.

Until Next Time.
